What is the best thing to do in Nassau for a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 10 and 5?
I am going on a Disney Cruise in December and I’m having a hard time trying to find something to do in Nassau. My wife and I are both 30 and not very athletic (no hikes), my kids are 10 (girl) and 5 (boy). I would love to snorkel but I’m not sure if my kids will get in the open water. We will spend the next day at Castaway Cay so I’m not real worried about getting to a beach. Any advice?

Paradise Island beaches are popular as well as the very nice beaches located at the Cable Beach hotels.
Snorkelling:
The best way to become acquainted with the stunning beauty of the Bahamian reefs. Equipment and instruction can be found at many resorts.
Parasailing:
This exhilarating is an experience. Parasailors are launched and recovered by a small powerboats circling the bay. The view is unparalleled, and it’s great fun.
Dolphin Encounter:
Take part in an entertaining talk and learn about the bottlenose dolphins’ incredible life. Guests will gather with your feet in the water and observe these intelligent mammals up close for a full 30 minutes. With the great highlight – to touch and interact with them as you stand in waist-deep water. 3 hours with boat ride is $75.

Shopping:
The majority of the stores are along an eight block stretch of Bay Street in downtown Nassau. The straw market is a traditional favorite for straw hats, straw bags, & straw shoes plus just about anything else you can find that is made from straw.
