Tips Of Choosing An Excellent Cabin
A cabin refers to an enclosed room generally on a ship or an aircraft. One needs a comfortable cabin for making the journey enjoyable.
One should consider some points of choosing a good cabin. There are some tips for it.
Fix Budget First
One of the most important factors is price. The cabins on a cruise ship are divided into categories that correspond with price levels. So, determine price point at first and look at the categories of cabins that fall into that range is good.

Choose your perfect cabin from Different Types of Cabin:-There are different types of cabin, such as- Center hall cabin, Dogtrot cabin, Log Cabin, Saddlebag cabin, Single-pen cabin, Tourist Cabin, Vertical-log cabin etc.
Central Hall cabin is the cabin of two rooms that are separated by a hallway and there is an exterior chimney on each end wall. Dogtrot cabin is also called double-pen cabin. It consists of two single rooms which are separated from each other by a covered open-air passageway .Each cabin has its own entrance and a chimney at its gable end. Log cabin is a small one-room house with the spaces filled with plaster, moss, mortar, mud, or dried manure, Saddlebag cabin is two one-room cabins that are connected and share a shingled roof having a single pitch on each side of a central ridge. The two cabins have separate entrances and usually there is no interior door between them and there is a chimney at the end of each cabin. Single-pen cabin means a simple one-story cabin. Tourist Cabin consists of a bedroom and bathroom and a number of small separate units. It provides overnight accommodation for travelers. Vertical-log cabin means a log cabin whose exterior logs are oriented vertically rather than horizontally. This construction requires more time and greater skill than if the logs are oriented horizontally.
There are some more things that one should consider:
1.) The very back of the ship on low decks is directly above the engine. This may create more noise and vibration than one is used to.
2) The very front of the ship on all decks will take the brunt of the ‘motion of the ocean’. If there are rough seas, one will be certain to feel it.
3) Lower decks tend to be noisy in general, as they are close to public spaces. Higher decks are slightly less convenient to the ship’s services, dining rooms, theatres etc.
4) One should be careful about gaps in the deck plan on either side of your cabin especially at the end of hallways. These typically are ‘crew doors’ which could be pantries, crew elevators or storage areas where slamming doors throughout the day and night are commonplace.
5) Proximity to the elevators is also important. Cabin should near to it, but not directly next to them. Those guests with disabilities should take this into consideration.

As one may need to stay a long time in a cabin so one should be careful about the cabin furniture. Cabin furniture includes-beds, bathroom equipments, candle holders, fireplace screen, home accents, kitchen accessories, lightning, mirror, office accessories etc. The journey on ship or aircraft mostly depends on the facilities or arrangement of cabin. So, before hiring a cabin one should be careful about the arrangement of cabin.
